Hot Wheels ’57 T-Bird “No Porthole”

This ’57 T-Bird was introduced to the market by Mattel in 1991. Interestingly, it was shipped simultaneously to two markets. First market was for the MacDonald’s promo; second market was the Mattel International Blister Pack . Both versions have the same features and one could not tell them apart once they were removed from the package. As such, they both have the same value.

The ’57 T-Bird version pictured above has the following features:

  • Turquoise in color
  • Gray plastic base
  • Blue interior
  • Clear windshield
  • Yellow, magenta and white stripes on the side
  • No porthole
  • Basic wheels (BW)
  • Made in Malaysia
  • Diecast body

This ’57 Ford Thunderbird was and still is one of the hottest Hot Wheels produced during the 1990’s. Not only did the average Hot Wheel collector find it appealing but also it was popular for collectors of Ford T-Birds.
